Simon or Shimon (they/he) is a white antiracist, antizionist, queer, trans, disabled, neuroqueer person of the Ashkenazi Jewish diaspora living on Nipmuc and Pocomtuc land known as Northampton, MA. Their people are from Lithuania, France, Germany, and Eastern and Northwestern Europe.
Shimon is a politicized healer, ritualist, educator, and artist stewarding one-to-one and small group somatic, ancestral, and cultural healing for the sake of collective liberation. They are dedicated to supporting people who support others: healing practitioners, therapists, teachers, clergy, ritualists, caregivers, as well as people working toward collective liberation as organizers, activists, artists, and movement leaders.
Simon offers radical care to people living with disability, neurodivergence, and/or chronic illness, including long covid and autoimmune conditions; and understands firsthand what it is to recover from burnout, addiction, and codependency through tending to underlying trauma survival physiology. They understand and orient to their work as sacred witnessing and accompaniment as their clients cultivate embodied resilience amidst this transformative time of personal and collective reckoning.
Simon believes in the healing and alchemical power of connecting with animist (earth, spirit, body-based) ancestral wisdom available to us when we become ready and willing to turn toward and listen for it. They center queer and trans folx and work from intersectional feminist, disability justice, and body and sex positive frames.
