Hello and welcome!
I’m Simon or Shimon (they/he), a politicized healer, ritualist, and artist stewarding one-to-one and group multidimentional healing for the sake of collective liberation. I identify as a white, antiracist, antizionist, queer, trans, disabled, neuroqueer person of the Ashkenazi Jewish diaspora living on Nipmuc and Pocomtuc land colonially known as Northampton, MA. My people are primarily from Eastern Europe, as well as France and Germany.
I have been on a life-long journey of learning to befriend, love, and come home to my body, the earth, my ancestors, and the Divine. When my hair fell out at age 14 due to what is known as alopecia areata, I believed there is something wrong with me, that I was the cause of it, and I needed to figure it out and fix it. I now understand that, like most of us, I am entangled in some big intergenerational cultural and spiritual troubles that manifest in various ways in the body and mind. And that I don’t need to fix myself, I just need to listen to where my wise animal body and spirit lead me, which often to the woods, a body of water, a warm embrace, connection with a four-legged friend, and earth-based embodied ritual with kin. These are the ways of our earth-honoring ancestors. This wisdom lives in our bones.
It is my deep honor to support fellow politicized healing practitioners, therapists, spiritual leaders, sensitives, caregivers, and folx working toward collective liberation as organizers, activists, political educators, facilitators, artists, and movement leaders. It’s a gift to get to offer radical care to people living with disability, neurodivergence, and/or chronic illness. I understand firsthand what it is to recover from trauma, and related burnout and addiction/codependency, through earth, body, and spirit-based healing and spiritual practice.
My practice centers queer and trans folx and I work from intersectional feminist, antiracist, antizionist, decolonial, disability justice, harm reduction, and body and sex positive frames. Additionally, I follow the Ancestral Medicine Code of Ethics.
When I am not tending my beloved work, I can be found tending joy and awe in my garden of culinary and medicinal herbs, dye plants, and flowers, making herbal medicine for my mutual aide Beshert Apothecary, printmaking, cooking, singing, dancing, woods walking with human and dog friends, and communing with bodies of water.
Feel welcome to sign up for my monthly newsletter at the bottom of this or any page of this site and/or consider joining my Patreon where I will be sharing more of my work. You can book a Curiosity Call to explore the possibility of working together here.
